Our Analog Remanufacturing Process
The process begins when the unit arrives at TI-BA, a credit allowance is determined based on
condition then the following steps are performed to refurbish each unit individually. The frames
are visually and physically inspected to ensure that no unseen damage has occurred to the base
unit during shipment that would affect operation or performance. The machines then move to the
inspection department where the exterior panels and electrical drawer are removed and prepared
for refinishing or replacement.
Next, trained technicians begin a detailed inspection of the interior of the machine where the
cleaning and preparing of the main frame takes place for touch up painting. The compressor and
vacuum pumps are rebuilt with new diaphragms and shock absorbers, and the water trap is
replaced with new plastic plunger. All fuses are now checked along with the proper configuration
of the PCB-A4. The film pocket area receives its new clutch assembly, guide rollers are removed
for replacement with new, Timing disk screws are replaced, then new suckers are installed.
Next the conveyor section gets updated with new belts and the new cassette Suckerbar
configuration to accommodate in-sight cassettes. New entrance rollers along with the guide flap
to help guide 18x24cm films through the conveyor for mammo applications are also installed.
Now the cassette transport area gets all new switches and the s14 & s15 wiring harness, the
transport belt is now removed to be replaced with new, the centering brake modification, leaf
spring and vibration modifications are completed also. All motors are inspected and confirmed to
be in proper working condition.
Moving through the machine, the wire harnesses and ribbon cables are inspected for wear, as is
proper operation of the inductive sensors. The entire pneumatic system and humidifier are
checked and verified for proper operation, the unit now receives all new light tight foam and the
panels are installed and adjusted for proper fit and function. The tunnel interface now gets
installed after being refurbished with new belts, absorbent rollers, light tight foam and all required
modifications.
The unit is then thoroughly cleaned and the rebuilding commences. All required modifications are
installed to meet OEM specifications and compliance, including adjustments and settings on both
the cassette and film pocket sections. Additionally, all film magazines are inspected and repaired
and adjusted for various sizes. Magazine settings can be ordered to meet your specific needs.
The latest software version and all parameters are checked and adjusted to meet the most
current configurations. The following adjustments now take place, power supply voltage input and
output verification, cassette transport, film pocket removal of film from magazines and transport to
the cassette exchange level. All machines are tested in full operation for 48 hours and the
completion of 1000 cycles of error free film handling. Each unit is shipped with a complete prepack
for proper installation. Tunnel and infill panels are also included for in-line configurations.
